Ube Lattes Galore at Koffee Paradise in Linworth

The Filipino coffee shop Koffee Paradise is well known in Columbus for having one of the best ube lattes, and fortunately for us they’ve quickly expanded this year with the addition of a new shop in Linworth!

The Linworth outpost is their second shop overall, joining their original on the east side. (They actually just opened a THIRD shop near campus, too.) They took over a portion of the old Tomatillos Mexican Restaurant space (which moved up to the Hills Market plaza on Olentangy River Road). The signage is a little hard to see, being brown letters on the windows, and with the door tucked around the corner.

The space is big and open, with tables scattered throughout. Hanging from the ceilings are hundreds of fake wisteria flowers.

Their menu is pretty straightforward: a mix of coffee drinks, matcha, and frozen breezes.

One of the best ways to sample their coffees is flight of four! You have to choose if they’ll be all hot, iced, or breezes. It’s plenty of coffee, so I’d recommend sharing.

Their drinks, especially the ube lattes, are wonderfully fun and colorful.

We ordered a flight of four and enjoyed them all! First was the Paradise cold brew topped with ube cloud, a sweetened, whipped foam.

Next was the ube latte topped with whipped cream – a standout for good reason. Also good is the ube dalgona. I think many folks discovered dalgona coffee over the pandemic; it’s made by whipping up instant coffee grounds with water and sugar. It makes for a nice texture, and balances out the sweet ube.

Finally, we sampled the matcha with vanilla cloud. I’m still learning to appreciate matcha, and this version was easy to like: smooth, sweet, a touch herbal.

Koffee Paradise also offers a small selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. I ordered up a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant. Nothing fancy, but a nice warm, salty bite to go with all the sweet coffee.

Koffee Paradise’s Linworth shop is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
